Celebrate Women in Sports (Feb 3)

February 3 is National Girls and Women in Sports Day | Define Lust

February 3 is National Girls and Women in Sports Day!

Each year as we celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day, we are reminded of the importance of maintaining a focus on, and creating an awareness of, the important issues facing women and girls in this country and beyond. The powerful combination of sports, health and education found in programs administered by organizations like the Women’s Sports Foundation not only directly benefits women and girls today, it lays a foundation for growth for generations to come.

Football Hurts?

Time Magazine NFL The Most Dangerous Game | Define Lust
Here I am hootin' and hollerin' about joining the New York Sharks Women's Pro Football team based in Brooklyn, NY, then I go home this weekend and check my mailbox only to find my weekly Time Magazine. As soon as I saw the cover I cracked up [the world revolves around me]. Let me show you what I saw.

Here I am preppin' to get ready for my rookie season in the Indepenent Women's Football League (IWFL) and Time Magazine wants to scare me into early retirement. Too be honest, I didn't read the entire article, but the cover image was information enough... Time Magazine doesn't think I'm tough enough for football. I'll show them on April 10 in Philadelphia. Matter of fact, I'll show them at every game this season. Follow my progress!

Thanks for the heads up Time Magazine... but I got this!

KEISHA tackles...

Women's Professional Football

Women's Professional Football | Define Lust

Your girl, Keisha, has been offered the opportunity to tryout and possibly get on a women’s professional football team. The New York Sharks is the only women’s tackle football team in the area.

Now for those that know me, trying out and making a football team is not a challenge for me (in my prime). The real challenge is trying out and possibly making a football team with less than ZERO days of training and conditioning at the age of 30.

Follow me as I push myself to the limit and test my strength against the Tri-state area’s toughest women.

For those that are wondering about the position that I might play, well, I was thinking that I might fit the role of quarterback or wide receiver and I definitely want to be on special teams as kickoff return to display my “dipping” skills that I learned from back in the day in the Gesner parking lot.

My tryout will be with the New York Sharks on Saturday, January 23 at 9am in Brooklyn, NY.

UPDATE:

I made the team!!!

New York Jets Plays Final Game at Giants Stadium | Define Lust

Haven't see an image like this for the Jets in a long while...

The New York Jets closed Giants Stadium with a shower of confetti and a 37-0 shutout of the Cincinnati Bengals, earning a playoff berth in the final contest at a 34-year-old building that’s hosted the most National Football League games in history.
